Objective To recognize the contraction and non-contraction through the analysis of electrohysterogram (EHG) from pregnant women. Methods The data were collected from 10 pregnant women under pregnancy state and 10 pregnant women under labor stateby Monica AN24 fetal Monitoring. Then, linear andnonlinear featuresand their variabilitywere extracted, including root mean square (RMS),peak frequency (PF),median frequency (MDF),mean frequency (MNF),parameters from wavelet decomposition (W4,W5) and time reversibility (Tr).Features of contraction and non-contraction were compared by statistical method. Results Features of contraction and non-contraction both indicated significant difference (P<0.05) within groups and between groups. Conclusions The study of uterine EHG signal provides an important reference value for the identification and monitoring of uterine contraction.
