At present and in the future, the need of the disabled about active intelligent prosthetic knee joint is increasing quickly.In order to recognize and comb the research progress about active intelligent prosthetic knee joint at home and abroad, this paper mainly introduced the present situation and main achievements in aspect of bionics structure design and driving structure design of the prosthetic knee joint, the controlling mechanism and controlling algorism of the prosthetic knee joint, the locomotion intent recognition of the complex unstructured environment.Next, the paper proposed the problems and challenges of the active intelligent prosthetic knee joint in the present research, then discussed the developing trend.
