In this paper, we present a MSP430FG439based portable wireless ECG monitoring system. Via RF transmitter chip CC2500 with low power ECG data was collected, analyzed and transmitted in real time and displayed on a LCD. Any anomalies will be transferred when the processer detected abnormal waveform, the date was transmitted on PC via RF transmitter chip CC2500 for further analysis. Highly integrated processor MSP430 significantly simplified the frontend analog amplifier circuits. The experimental results indicated that the system could provide a preliminary diagnostic information for some heart diseases based the characteristics of the ECG waveforms. In addition, the system has the advantages of low power consumption, small size, high precision and easy operation.
