Embolic detection is very important to the early diagnosis of vessel disease. The Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound technique is one of the common methods to detect the embolus noninvasively. In this paper, we used FFT and wavelet transformation to analyze the embolic doppler signals, and then we obtained the extracted characteristic parameters. The TCD system used these parameters to judge the embolics in real time from the spectrum. The experimental results showed that this algorithm could distinguish the embolic from the artifact very well.
