Information of the time and frequency domain contained in the auditory system is important for the evaluation of human auditory function and the diagnosis of nervous system diseases. In this paper, some new advances in signal processing techniques depending on auditory evoked potential are reviewd, which include time-varying filter overlying,self-adaptive filtering, wavelet transform, artificial neural networks, independent component analysis, and Hilbert-Huang transform. These methods are committed to carrying out less stimulation, and extracting auditory evoked potential signal in higher quality.
