Objective The anorectal mystery and ways to rescue the anal incontinence patients are explored to solve the anal incontinence problem. This paper designs a new artificial anal sphincter system as an imitation of puborectalis muscle type. Methods In this system, an imitation of puborectalis muscle type of artificial anal sphincter is devised, with several embed biological pressure sensors to percieve the pressure of intestinal canal. According to the pressure parameter, the system could intelligently recognize the awareness of the defecation and offer an alarm to the patient. The system adopts bionic principle and combines with blood pressure acquisition module to effectively avoid the partial high pressure leading to intestinal ischemic necrosis. And the transcutaneous energy transmission is adopted to provide the energy in a biosafety way. Results Starch paste and water are used to verify the paste and liquid manure clamping effect of sphincter implementation structure and the results show that holding is in good condition. Through isolated intestinal animal experiment, we can see the relationship between the simulated intestinal pressure signals and ‘means’, and verify that the system can realize alarm after defecation threshold is reached and remind the patient to carry out operation of defecation. The system can work 6.2 d after every charging with a wireless energy supply way and a low power consumption. Conclusions The results of in vitro experiments indicate that the system can control the facel and rebuild the defecation successfully.
