Sleeping disorders have been an increasing problem in today's society, and about one third of the world population have sleep related disorders. Lots of people are reluctant to use sleeping pills for its side effect and addiction. This review introduces the non-pharmacological treatment of sleep disorders, such as the engineering techniques of transcranial electric/magnetic stimulus and sound stimulus, together with certain self-regulation methods like meditation, exercise and diet. This review may benefit sleep-related clinical doctors, researchers and those people with sleep disorders.
